I purchased this mug for the express purpose of making tea from time to time. I use an insulated container for my coffee through the day because I brew coffee and take it to work to consume later. Tea however, is a different matter for me. I like my tea to cool more quickly. This mug is perfect for this application. I bought this as a gift for my son who is a serious tea drinker. I had it sent to me first so I could see the quality of the product. It is an absolutely gorgeous item. I purchased the blue crane coffee and tea set. First, it was very carefully packed. I was blown away when I opened the gorgeous presentation box in which the set was carefully resting surrounded by specially cut foam to cradle each piece. The pieces are stunning! Beautiful mug, decent weight, looks amazing. Packaging felt premium in the nice black box, although slightly let down as this was damaged ruining the effect somewhat. But that is probably more a courier issue, the mug is perfect.

I love the quality and look..very unique and a beautiful gift ..there is one thing though...I wish I had of looked a little more into the different styles and handles because this handle I find hard to fit and hold on to..that is comfortable...and I have average hands...very cumbersome ...it's a gift and I don't have time to return it and get a bigger mug with a longer handle .. beautiful design and quality though....Mischelle

Smaller than I expected, as the picture shows; however I'm six-foot-two (188cm) tall and my hands are huge so that's probably just because I'm a big guy. The wood handle does a great job of insulating the heat away from your hand, and the built-in tea strainer does a great job as well. The overall construction quality seems fairly good, but only time will tell how well it holds up to daily use and abuse. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase and I'll probably be getting another mug soo...

My brother was thoroughly surprised with this cup. He was impressed with the quality and smooth lines of the cup and the fit in the teak base. The teak is a perfect base to protect the cup and provide some insulation to keep the coffee warm longer. Unbeknownst to me, my brother has had a tough time finding the perfect coffee cup, so I’m very happy to have surprised him with it and that it fit his needs just right. If you like a nice big, and I mean big cup of coffee then this is the cup for you. Also love cause I like a lot of milk in my coffee, and with this cup I can get a lot of coffee and lots of room for milk with out filling it yo the top. Also this cup looks so nice !

The Glass Mountain and Sea mug is a beautiful piece of work, but works of art aren't always completely practical for every day use. As you can see from the attached photo, this mug has an appealing downward slant to the wide base in keeping with the mountain theme. Beautiful and functional design. The cup is great to look at, but it also seems to keep my tea warmer longer than other mugs do. I drink a lot of loose leaf tea, so the mug is perfect for brewing a cup - either fresh or re-steeped. Would definitely buy another mug from this company in the future!
