The installation was easy. You do need 2 people and we just love everything about the look. We had a blind company come out they gave us a quote of $900.00 just for the door and you would have a 3" header sticking out and slapping everytime you opened or closed the door. Customer service is excellent and the windows were here within the week!

First one we ordered shattered…have no idea why. We didn’t do anything to cause it, we have replaced two inserts with no problem, but it shattered while tightening the last screw. Called CS and they gave us $40 off the second one which barely covered shipping. This one went in fine, doing the exact same thing as before. $400 turned into $800 right before Christmas, but what are you going to do?

This product is great and everything I hoped it would be. I have an old odd shaped door that had 3 separate single panes of glass. One of the panes broke and I was either looking at $4-500 to replace the door and framing or $130 for a new double pane window. Knowing I wanted a double pane I opted to get the one for 1-3/4" thick doors despite my door being 1-3/8". With assistance, so as not to have the sash break into a million pieces, was able to install in about 30-40 minutes. Looks so much better than the original with the crackes that developed. Took longer to get the "plugs" into the screw holes than another part of installation! LOL

This product worked perfectly on my exterior door manufacture by Pella. The 2 mounting ribs used to secure it to the bottom of the door's slots were designed for this. I could not buy this anywhere else except from the original manufacturer. Pease provided a great product, easy to order and shipping was great. In my case I converted an existing fiberglass door that had a small window at the top to one with a large glass and integrated blinds. Installing my glass insert into my door was what I would call a “rewarding challenge”. Having never taken on an installation like this, the hardest part was cutting through the metal door. Pros: Easy to install kit. If you have some woodworking/carpentry skills, you should be able to install it. I had a solid 36 x 96" entry door at the end of a dark hallway. Cut out and installed this kit to bring light into our entryway. Cons: Instructions are for replacement of already installed door glass. Some length and width measurements and or instructions for solid door installations would be nice.
