This kalimba is very beautiful and the color scheme looks classy. The contrast of light wood, dark wood and its glossy finish with the engraving is elegant and fitting. The hybrid design of flat and hollow kalimbas resonates very well compared to the sounds of a normal hollow kalimba. This is my first resonance box kalimba and I am very satisfied with my purchase! It sounds 5x louder than a flat board. The best way I can describe the tone is its rich and full like how a resonance box should sound, but not too deep. It sounds full but also leaning bright at the same time. The loudest notes are first octave G and B and the tines are quieter the further away from these tines. So cute !! It’s even better than I imagined :) there was a pink thank you sticker on the packaging and peach stickers which i found absolutely adorable as well ! Little side note: make sure to grow your nails out to play (i recently cut mine and my fingers start hurting pretty fast when i play but it’s worth it hihi ) :D

I received my Chromatic Kalimba yesterday and I love it. Nicely tuned (thanks! because I am very sensitive to badly tuned hand made instruments) and perfectly finished. I really love the finish and the overall appearence. Also, all items promissed (hammer for tuning, elegant black bag, book with simple songs) arrived too. The only danger: I cannot stop playing. I love it so much. My mom got it for me for my birthday and to pick up a new instrument. The original package didn’t come with the stickers, so I emailed them and got a reply pretty quick. They were so helpful while assisting me with the issue. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn the Kalimba. My only problem is that it’s softer than I thought it would be but on video it is a decent sound.

Very soft, but well resonating sound. Smaller than I thought, so its just the perfect size for me. Tines are engraved so major plus! The detail in the wood and acrylic are stunning! The little Humpback whale and jellyfish are adorable. Would highly recommend this!!
