Living in Nelson the UV rays can get pretty extreme. To protect my American Paint. Sheza Lazy Desperado from sunburn I knew I couldn’t go wrong with NZTACK’s Summer Crossover Combo. Love it! Great fit, maybe on the slightly bigger size which is perfect for my 4’9 horse that’s got extra condition at the moment. Solid fittings, big tail flap. She stayed cool today in 20degrees with strong winds and threat of rain. It’s very bright! More like a fluro pink. Would make perfect road riding 1/4 sheets if you want to expand the range….

Love this cover for my new boy. I got him a 4'6 no fill and it fits perfectly. Keeps him dry in torrential rain and will keep him cool as it warms up. And it love that I can spot him and Kai from far away with how vibrant the colours are.

Rekohu Delight (Dodi) in her lovely 1200D lite rug. Dodi swam roughly 3km to safety in the cyclone when our property filled with roughly 6m of flood water - injuring herself on debris. After a few weeks of specialist care she now almost home at a safe properly and loving her wonderful rug. 🦄💕

I chose this rug because my mare is being eaten alive by flies but the rug also had to hold up to her rambunctious colt foal. I’m impressed so far! Can’t say the same for her colt. He’s none too pleased with this new device.

What a cool cover.. Ritch says thanks, sadly we couldn't get a better photo as it's a horrid day. Ritch is clipped and I really needed a under rug with a neck. I have bought a few NZTack rugs and have been seriously impressed with their fit and quality. The lining makes it easy to slide them on and off, unlike the cotton lining on some other makes that seem to stick to the horses back. The lining also seems to clean their coats, when you take the rug off they are pristinely clean underneath! A friend saw them and asked me to get one for her beautiful Gypsy, Mia. My friend loves it and so does Mia!

Love how light it is, yet seems to have plenty of strength. I went for the lightest fill as have a horse that hates being too warm in covers (goes out of her way to try and get them off) and so far she seems pretty happy with it too.

So over the moon to receive Tuffs Fancy Lady’s new NZTACK Ultra-Lite Combo only hours before a severe orange weather storm hit. With over 50mm of rain overnight she has remained warm and dry. We have another 300mm expected over the next 10 days and I am absolutely confident her new rug will continue to do it’s job as have previous NZTACK rugs have for my other American Paint horses.

Horse stayed dry over two days of rain, plenty of room in the chest, doesn't choke her when she puts down her head to graze. Good weight and keeps solidly in place. Since she's not a super built horse, I did have to put knots in the belly straps. I would love to see a larger tail flap, but overall a great cover!

I am very happy with this cover so far. I like that the neck is adjustable as Holly often loses her ears under a long neck. Great bum cover, which you can pay extra for in other brands. This is my second NZ Tack cover and I love them. Holly usually likes to twerk around the paddock and roll exaggeratedly to break in a new cover. Trying this for the first time on a day where we had winds, rain and sun on repeat, she noodled off dry, cool, with a bit of howling wind protection and happy.

Take the rug guide seriously folks- these covers do indeed run large lol. I have a couple of interesting to fit horses- I decided to start with the pony sized cob type who generally takes a 4'6 but she ended up swimming in it length wise despite the chest area being perfect. It was a total breeze sending the 4'6 back & having a 4'3 sent out instead, which was the perfect length for her & the chest while not as immediately perfect fitting as that of the 4'6, is just a matter of finding the right...

Love these covers!! It’s the first 50g I’ve had that’s actually waterproof!! We’ve had the blue ones but had to get the pink for my girl when I saw it! You certainly can’t miss her in the paddock. I’d love it if you had a neck cover to buy with standard neck covers for a little more flexibility.

Absolutely love this rug. I decided to upgrade my old faithful blue NZ Tack rug to this stunning colour and I’m over the moon. The shoulder gussets are huge, just the perfect fit for my kaimanawa mare. Bonus points too as she now stands out in the paddock from ages away!

Love the fact these rugs are waterproof an hope it stays that way, my mare gets a with er rub easily from anything slightly heavy. The tail flap i would like a larger wrap around type as I feel these ones are almost pointless. Fit is great and the neck rug lovely and generous.
