The leggings are soft and do add warmth. I can only give 4 stars because they do slide down some while hiking and working out. I also have to wear them as 7/8 length to have no bagginess. I'd also prefer a less flimsy pocket. I like them enough to keep them and wear them, but don't love them.

I live in MN and we've had super cold days lately. These leggings are incredibly warm. I don't need another layer - even at -10 degrees with -30 windchill! My only complaint is that they're a little short on me, like 2 " above the ankle. I'm 5'4".
