I purchased two Airscape lids to make my own inoculated bokashi bran. I used one lid to help compress out the air from the bag and another one on top for extra sealing. It is the first time I have ever done this and the bran fermented perfectly. I can recommend this product.

Tested by FluffyDiesel of industrial strength pee. This bierkashi is amazing. It does not soak up the urine, however it really neutralizes the stink. She will NOT use it as litter, however. She will pee into the box where I have punched holes; the liquid drips down into another box which is lined with the bierkashi. Works great. I then take the soiled bierkashi outside into my garden, leave it alone, let the elements neutralize it, and after a few weeks, it goes into the woods.

Love Bokashi! I’ve been ordering it from SD Microbes for about two years now and have had a great experience. We live in a rural area and have a garden. Bokashi has helped me break down the food scraps we accumulate very quickly and turn it into food for our garden. The plants love it! I’ve put it in the food garden and also the flower garden. I store it in large OXO containers under my sink and have a little scoop. So glad this is a thing. Trying to compost was too much for me.

So I popped 10 beans in organic soil Including the rich awesome SD microbes vermi compost. I heard about this type of composting from an IG poster #theeverhopefulgardener. giving lots of great detail on the how to's After searching for a good company that provided a full on in one kit ( not interested in the DIY). SD microbes had that. AND there are lots of options on Amazon but most have the drain spout which is not what you want if you're trying to provide an air-locked system. First time composter, stumbled upon SD Microbes through YouTube and so far, it's been a fun and easy experience. I store all my food scraps in a small container and at the end of the week, I literally cannot wait to dump it into my air-tight bucket, sprinkle the bokashi, and track it on my calendar! I even enlisted my neighbor to collect their food waste for me and I'm composting at twice the speed. Now, my only gripe is that I should've bought a bigger bag!

Shout out to Steven Cornett of Nature's Always Right.com for teaching us about bokashi composting with SD Microbe's Bierkashi. The 5-pound bag should be enough for 3 five-gallon buckets. We dove right in by tossing meat, crushed bones, and dairy products into our first bucket. The Bierkashi does a great job of keeping odors in check. It worked so well that I gave a 5-pound bag to a family member who has two cats, so they could try it in their litter box.

Works like a charm. We use SD microbes bierkashi to preferment all of our food scraps before they go into our compost tumbler. The faint fermentation smell is much preferred to the smells that would otherwise emanate from having five gallons of food scraps in the house. This allows us to add the food scraps to the composter en masse when we have enough carbon rich yard waste and such with which to process it. Heats up and churns out black, biologically rich compost much quicker than before.

I was recommended sdmicrobes bokashi by a friend and have to say i have only seen positive changes while using it as a soil activator, controlling odor in the kitty boxes, and jump starting our compost.
