This knife is not to be toyed with; it is the beast of my kitchen and will cut through practically any kind of meat or vegetable you need to get cut up. This is the real big knife in my kitchen. It is not used that often, but when I do use it, you can rest assured that it gets the job done. As with all these knives, it's sharp, well balanced, and a real good all-around kitchen knife.

Oh, that shark bites down in the kitchen, don't you know. I love this knife and use it a lot because it is so darn well balanced and so sharp. I could probably literally shave with it if I had to. I did not use it yet. I like the weight of that cleaver. And if I were to have that cleaver in hunying camp and a bear came by a stab in the ribs then a yank up-ward then a fast down-ward motion could almost cut the lung in 1/2.

Sooo.... I did the buy 2 get two thing.... I kept flipping back and forth on the Machado. I didn't think I would use it as much as the other four I picked out... but I kept going back to it. I decided to not get it even though it looked cool as heck! Upon checkout, Coolina offered a mystery knife for fifty dollars and I took it. Turned out the mystery knife was the Machado! My knifes are great and I enjoy using them!! They are well made and have a great edge on them, I cut up a prime rib into steaks a couple of pork loins into chops ! And cut up a few large roasts in to New York steak they really make a nice addition to my kitchen knives! When my knives arrived, I thought I'd have to sharpen them a bit where most manufacturers ship them a bit dull... but, NOT THESE! These knives showed up razor sharp; and I did the paper slicing test on all of them, even the big thick one. Each one sliced the paper better and thinner than a razor would have. Then, we put them to the test on some sweet T-bones that night to celebrate and they worked like a charm! There's no better knife set in existence. Thank You Coolina team!

The knives are sharp and have some weight to them. I have been cutting through meat like butter. Chopping vegetables , garlic and onions is a breeze. Haven't used the cleaver yet but when I do I can tell by the weight it will cut through bone like a dream.

This holder is awesome, but would be better if the magnetism ran throughout the board. The knives are only currently at the top to stick, but if the sides were also able to hold I'd pay up to 250.00 for this.
