This is an AWESOME knife. Do not be apprehensive about it size---although a first impression is---DAMN.... The knife is hefty no doubt but the feel in the hand is very well balanced and easy to manipulate. I don't know about slicing tomatoes but slicing beef...the feel and manipulation in the hand makes short work of even the thinnest slices. If you want a big blade or just to impress at the BBQ---GET THIS ONE.

Only had my knives a few days and I love them! Best knives I’ve ever purchased (and I’ve bought some expensive knives over the years), the weight and balance is perfect for the job. Suratu is my new favorite kitchen tool and Lixy made short work of a large brisket. I will be adding more Culinary knives to my collection and giving them as gifts as well.

I really liked the stamp and wish that the knife was marked in some way to show the name of the brand. Coolina, I have so many things to say... this knife surprised me. I've had cutco and other ceramic knives for years. This knife I bought on a whim. They looked cool but how many things that look cool work. I cut sashimi for the first time with this knife and it cut to the level of the ceramic. I'm honestly impressed and coolina should know.
