I absolutely love cheeky! I ground my teeth so badly that I cracked and chipped all my teeth. I started waking up with sore cheeks and jaw and it led to my gums even hurting and mouth pain when I ate. When I went to the dentist my gums scores were declining. The soft versions are much more comfortable, but they don't last very long. If you can afford the subscription, that is the route I would go. This last go round, I bought the hard version. It's not as comfortable, but much more comfortable than any of the other products I tried before switching to Cheeky. Since getting one of their mouth guards, I wearing them almost every night and my headaches are much better. I will keep buying them. I'd like to switch to the subscription with soft ones again...

As a heavy grinder, I was very skeptical of the service offered by Cheeky. The last time I went to the dentist, I was quoted at $700+ for a night guard. I’ve had two night guards in the past from the dentist which were harder night guard and was fitted for my bottom teeth. I’d refuse to buy anymore from the dentist since they both cracked as well as split up and cost more than they were worth. You had to run hot water over the night guard to make it soft before inserting into your mouth. Cheeky’s night guard is so much better and less maintenance too. My super-expensive, hard & uncomfortable guard from the dentist broke early in the pandemic, and some kind soul in an online discussion of the NY Times article on increased teeth grinding told me about Cheeky. It is SO much better than the old guard--so comfortable I have no trouble sleeping, and so unobtrusive I can wear it on stressful days and still look presentable and be able to talk clearly. I was skeptical of Cheeky at first because I had problems with the first mouth guard they sent me. However, I reached out and expressed my concerns and the reply was immediate. They sent me another impression kit free of charge and expedited my next mold, which fits perfectly! I have never slept well with mouth guards in before, and they always felt bulky and unnatural.
