Our 9 month old loves these shoes--she tries to put them on by herself. They are great both without and with socks. They stay on pretty well, but not quite perfectly--we did lose one shoe during a walk in the carrier. This was actually a purchase to replace that pair, so we liked them enough to re-purchase and even get the next size up in advance.
