The only reason I felt the need to get the supportive push-back is because years ago my toddler pulled my earring and tore my earlobe by accident. I have purchased several different styles of earrings from Drae and they are not excessively heavy, and the push-back provides enough support. $800 ring was mostly sterling silver with just the 2 little rings made of 14 or 18 karat gold.
