While I'm not building an actual structure, I AM building a framework for a writing group at the local senior center. I find the grid page helps me get beyond linear thinking. And I like the square shape of the notebook as a change to the rectangular world of most of my pages.

This is now part of my keyring, and whenever my keys jingle I can hear it among the keys. I love the way it looks, but my only problem was getting it on the keychain in the first place. The ring is very solid, which means it won't drop off of my keys any time soon, but it was very difficult to bend into a full ring - I had to use two sets of pliers to even start to do so.

This is a great notebook. Write Notepads and Co. has some of the best paper out there for use with fountain pens. This is a perfect size for tossing in a bag for EDC for random ideas or for paring and carrying with a specific [text]book to take notes as I read and study the text. I tend to read with a pen in my hand and taking notes in a slim and portable notebook is the best way that I've found to study.

In general I like this notebook, but, like other reviewers, I find the dot grid pattern a bit too overwhelming. I was expecting it to be more subtle and not as dark. Love the addition of the page numbers though and the paper quality is excellent as always.

Like one of the other reviewers, I agree that the fact that the wooden grip area isn't flush with the brass tip is distracting while writing. I feel like I need to adjust my grip on the pencil more often than usual so that my fingers don't fall on this raised lip. Otherwise, I think this is an excellent quality pencil. It's weighted well and has a nice aesthetic. I like that it comes with a sharpener too.
