I've never used an ampoule before, so there's been a little bit of a learning curve for me. Its super thin and absorbs very quickly which is amazing, though it means you have to move fast to apply it to your whole face and neck. I find it's best to apply the ampoule directly onto the face. It does squirt out very quickly, so that would be the one thing to pay attention to - to be generally gentle in using the plunger. Other than that, I find it's gorgeous and feels great.
