The normal birria process is lengthy, and for special occasions that’s ok. I bought birria bombs hoping I can speed up the process and make birria any day of the week, even on those days (being a nurse) that I have a long day at work. I had to give this a try. So i just bought 2lbs of diesmillo meat and just followed instructions to the t. These Birria bombs are a game changer for a week night dinner. A 2 pound chuck roast brown on both sides one Birria bomb 6 cups of water made 12 stuffed tacos. 15 minutes in the morning to brown the meat. Put it in a slow cooker and 15 minutes in the evening to shred the meat and make my tacos. These will definitely be on rotation in our house.

Birria bombs helped make the best Birria we had in a long time. Last time I had this kind of Birria was in Aguascalientes, Mexico. My wife made the tacos just like they are shown in Instagram. I made birria for the first time using two EZ BOMBS and it came out delicious! I made it with about 7 lbs of beef chuck and I added about a tablespoon of tomato paste to tone down the spice a little, because it tasted a little spicy for our taste and I also added about a tablespoon of beef broth powder to the juice in place of adding salt and cooked it for about 4 hours in the oven. I made the meat on Thursday, yes it’s now the following Wednesday. It took me this long to get the courage up to make the actual taco!!! SO DARN GOOD!!!! I did strain out all the oil off the top while the meat was hot the day I cooked it & picked the solid fat off when it was cold. I was also able to shred with my fingers and leave out all the fatty bits while it was cold. Heat up meat and some sauce in a pan…Make tacos like normal….. ;-)
