The soap leaves my skin pretty dry and I'm not sure if there is enough surfactant. It does leave skin very clean with no residue. The beard oil on the other side is hands down the best that I've used. Softens wonderfully and does not leave any excess oil. With other brands I always had to wash my hands again after application. The scent is awesome also, I got the dark amber.
