Couldn't hammer this into the cedar or it might split so my husband mounted it on a piece of tea-tree and replaced a tech screw that was already there with a longer one. The steel colour is already changing.

Friends in my Garden
My garden has lots of trees along with many of my neighbours so birdsong is abundant. The piwakawaka are attached to one of these along our descending pathway down to the road. Their silhouette is delightful against the leaves of our trees :blush:

Bird received promptly . We had purchased after seeing one at my sisters house. I was a bit concerned that within a couple of weeks rust has appeared but my sister assures me this is normal. So I will resist the urge to clean it. Have read booklet again and will watch as it changes.
