We bought the ikamper a few weeks ago and I put it to good use on a girls trip to Lone Pine, CA! We had a windy night, up to 50mph winds and the tent held up great. We fit 3 girls in tent with room to spare, and were plenty warm. Only problem is closing it. I’m 5’2 and I could use a handle on the top and near the front to hold onto after tucking in the strap and attempting to latch and lock. But other wise it was amazing and can’t wait to get the husband and kids out on two weeks for our next tr...

Took my first outing in my new Skycamp 2.0. First time setting up only took 4 minutes, it will be faster now that I’ve done it. Also bought the Annex and very small learning curve, it’s going to be a breeze from now on. Absolutely love this RTT and would recommend it to anyone interested. Far superior quality compared to the other ones my friends have.

I’m really glad that I bought the wind deflector. I have the X-Cover RTT which is pretty “boxy”, and the the wind resistance is noticeably lower. Also, if you care about your vehicle’s aesthetics, the wind deflector really improves the look of the whole package. It pulls it all together and in my opinion it’s well worth the price.

Storage Rack

The iKamper Storage Rack was the perfect addition to complete my RTT setup. In addition to the Annex and Shoe Rack, this allows for convenient placement of items used throughout the day (flashlights, headlights, books, sunblock, glasses, you name it). I like how it sits symmetrical to the Storage rack with the RTT ladder in between. Very useful and practical!

We decided to test the annex on a tear drop trailer to test a new rig set up. We loved it!!! It offered so much more interior space than I expected. As a result, I needed much larger moving blankets to cover the floor area. I did spend a bit of time setting it up for the first time trying to figure out what side was up, in, out and down. I highly recommend that iKamper include much better instructions. But nevertheless, I eventually figured it out. It also held up incredibly well to really high ...

It’s been well over a month since I purchased my first IKamper and have finally had an opportunity to use it. My wife and I went on a trip from Seattle to Moab, Utah. Needless to say it has far exceeded my expectations! Our first night was spent in 20 degree weather and it didn’t feel like it. That’s the coldest temperature encountered and it was very comfortable sleeping inside with our sleeping bags. On day three we got a chance to use the canopy that was purchased separately. The heat ...

Haven’t had a chance to head into the wild with the iKamper, but have been very happy with the product on my property. I knew the rack I selected was going to be too thick at 1.5 inches for the 2.0 clamps, but really did not care for the old school 1.0, so I thought I would hold off getting other clamps, until I could look at it all. I ended up grinding out the rivit heads, putting in a spacer, and using nuts and bolts to put it all back together. Kinda wished it would have come with that option...

I had my reservations about ordering this as my first roof top tent, but wow am I happy. I've had it for about a year now and used it in all seasons. Rain, snow, wind, sun, dust, and humidity, this tent has seen it all. I have primarily used it on a Subaru crosstrek with a factory roof rack with great success. Recently I bought a Jeep gladiator to put my tent on. Only downside there is I have to order the 1.0 mounts in order to fit my bed rack; easy. Overall I can't imagine buying a different te...

Mounting Brackets 2.0

Bought these Bracket Locks as a safety measure. We were pretty sure that it would be nearly impossible for someone to come and steal our rooftop tent, but it keeps our minds at ease knowing that we have some kind of extra protection. It definitely wasn’t something we absolutely needed, but it is something that’s nice to have.

We bought our annex from a 3rd party website as the annex on iKamper’s website has been out of stock for a while now. We received our annex about a week ago and haven’t been able to test it out officially yet, but we had a chance to unbox it and open it for the first time in front of our house. It’s a lot more compact than what I had expected, but also a bit heavier than what I expected. The setup looks a bit complicated, but a lot of youtube video studying will help a lot! Once you get the hang...

Shoe Rack

I love this shoe rack. The depth of the pockets is impressive. My husband's shoes easily fit in the pockets because there is so much space. As always, the iKamper materials are unmatched. The shoe rack is thick and will clearly hold up for a long time. The stitching is wonderful. The colors are beautiful outside and I have found so many functions in addition to shoes to use it. For example, as I unpack our sleeping bags, I am able to place all of them in there. We can also use it to hold ...

This is a camping game changer. My wife, 4 year old, 2 year old and myself have plenty of room in here with room to spare for clothing and gear. I did have to ditch the stock mattress pad and upgraded to a twin and single QOMOTOP mattress at a cost of around $300 on Amazon. Once I did that I can now sleep on my side without any discomfort. If you try that on stock mattress you hit the aluminum floor. Also going to a self inflating mattress allows us to be able to keep a super thick down comforte...

Installation is pretty straightforward. It takes some adjusting to get it just right. I do think it way overpriced, but what are your gonna do, make one??

The awning is super easy to set up. We use it for when rain is expected or to shade from the sun. High quality materials as expected.

The Ikamper Skycamp 2.0 I watched a few videos on this Skycamp and even though those videos said how awesome the tent was I was not prepared for how fantastic it really is. This is the best camping purchase that I have made to date. Attaching the tent to my rack with the included hardware was easy and I feel very confident in how secure it is while driving. The setup is sooo easy. Pop the latches, push the top up, pull the ladder down and put up the metal poles for the door fly. This saves a l...

Awesome Skycamp 2.0 with premium quality. Easy and quick setup, and impressively sleep very comfortably for family of 4. My only complaint which need to be improved; - Mattress too firm compare to my last CVT RTT - Shoe rack hang is too far back under the extension, hard to reach over while standing on the ladder, especially for kids. My temporary fix, move the shoe rack forward by attach to the ladder and attach other end to rainfly strap hook so my kids can take off and place their shoes whi...

I can’t begin to say how much I love this thing. While I’ve only had it for 3 months, my toddler son and I have used it no less than 30 times. Admittedly, only a few of those have been overnight camping trips. The rest of the time we’ve used it to do “working picnics” all over Southern California. We’ve taken it to the snow, mountains, lakes and beaches. We pull up, explore in the morning and then pop up our tent to eat lunch, enjoy the views and get a little laptop work done. Already have...

I have used my ikamper all 4 seasons now. Ever since I purchased this Ikamper, my wife who hated camping started to like it. Also, as you can see it from my picture, he is only 10 month but we all go to camping together because Ikamer is very safe and comfortable. Before I purchased this I worried about condensation because people who purchased mentioned it many times but when I used it I found out that it is not an Ikamper problem. I think this happens due to weather and how you use it. Also, I...
