As a long-time Berkey owner, we needed new filters for our camper's extra Berkey. Based on positive reviews, we decided to try these filters. They arrived well-packaged, and after priming, we conducted the red dye test. The bottom tank remained dye-free, which was reassuring. Although I'm slightly skeptical about the micron size they filter, as they process water much faster than standard Berkey filters, I'm overall happy with the purchase.

We have a well with very high iron. Our report came back with 19ppm. I bought this filter because it states in the specs it will remove up to 30ppm. This filter worked great when first installed. There was no iron taste in our water. After about 6 months we began to taste iron again. I sent a water sample off to be tested. Report came back showing 2ppm iron. Been using Berky water purifier for years. A few years ago I wanted to replace the fluoride filters. Bought an off brand. They didn’t work. So was a little hesitant to buy an off brand again. However I took the chance, and I’m very impressed! These filters didn’t continue to have the white powder continue to be released after thoroughly rinsing.

I got these filters to replace the ones in my Berkey water filter. As you may or may not know, Berkey has gone out of business and been taken over by Boroux. I love my Berkey water filter, but I don't really want to pay what Boroux are asking for a set of activated carbon filters. These are a perfect replacement and work, taste wise, just as well as the more expensive ones. I've been very happy with them and have no complaints.
