My biggest fear was that it would have a cheap clock motor that makes a loud "tick tick" noise but it has what seems like a high quality motor that has the seconds hand moving in a continual sweep. It is large and is either a small wall clock or a large bedroom clock. The "12" tick mark is not very visible but no worries , it's pretty easy to read even at my age. I really like this clock. The lens really is glass too so no yellowing or cracking with age and UV coming through the window

Really happy with my purchase, but it was complicated having it and getting answers. I did purchase another clock from another company 3 weeks after my order with you and I received it quicker. Regards
