I have black counters. This blends in and looks great enough to stay all the time. I bought 2 and made a big oval with them. I am more inspired to put away the dishes now so I can show off my dish mat! One thing that is bothering me is whitish haziness on it, maybe from hard water, maybe from the suds that may fly off my gloves when placing dishes on mat. I tried to spray it with white vinegar and that didn’t work and I also tried Dawn Power wash and scrubbed it with a sponge - still there...

I love this dish mat. It's high quality, matte, and is exactly as shown in the picture. It pairs very well with the gold dish rack as well.
