I'm really impressed by how strong the magnet really is! don't have that concern :) It's just boring to take off the elastics, but that's not a problem because I don't change the paper towels every week. very cute and saved a space in my little kitchen.

I love this papertowel rack. I actually use it to hang dish rags on the side of my refrigerator so they're out of sight. I got tired of dish rags hanging on the stove and dishwasher handle. Having them more hidden on the side of the refrigerator keeps my kitchen looking tidy. It's a very strong magnetic hold so no worries of it slipping.

I bought two of these - one for my Mom and the other for my Mother-in-law for their small apartment kitchens. The paper towel bar magnets attach nicely to the sides of their refrigerators. Plus it looks very contemporary and stylish.
