Great experience and fantastic product. I built the frame to dimensions, but anyone purchasing this needs to understand it is an insert and the glass only slightly covers the gaps. Realistic flame and have had some mention that they thought I installed gas. Had a problem with the touchpad controller not adhering, but an email and twenty minutes later, a replacement was sent. Purchased Orion 36” traditional insert with 6” trim kit. Very happy with this fireplace. Two minor modifications were used here. First, a log that has more of a glowing property was placed in the center. Found a set of 5 small "transparent" logs on Amazon, but only one of them was actually thin enough to fit in this fireplace so that's all I used in addition to the provided logs. We have this beautiful fireplace, , we just removed a pellet stove insert that was in there, the pellet stove stuck way out and no one could sit on hearth.
