Nihon Kosho has a large selection of woodblock prints. I was lucky to find the one I've wanted for many years. I received a beautiful reproduction of a print by Hokusai by FedEx in under one week, carefully wrapped and protected, and in excellent condition. It is exactly what I'd expected. Yoshiaki reached out to me right away to fix a shipping problem. His weekly newsletter about the art of Japanese wood block is worth subscribing to.

The print arrive in a satisfactory condition and it was wrapped in a very protected way. I order the frame from a local shop where the shop also help customers to frame artwork from other famous artists such as Takashi san. Beautiful book, dated probably to the reign of Ieyoshi Tokugawa (last name in the chronology of Japan ruler explained in the book). This encyclopedia presents stories, histories, tools, weapons & amors, city mapping (map and birds eye views) and a map of Japan. The book was very well protected and packed. Nihon Kosho team is very reactiv and helpful. Do not hesitate if you want one of their books, buy it...for me it was the first but surely not the last one..

What an amazing piece of art. The images online looked great, but it’s even better in real life. Very well preserved, and it’s around 165 years old. The store was also courteous, helpful, and professional, even through COVID shipping delays.

I am very pleased with my woodblock print purchase. It arrived safely and very well packed. I have not found a permanent place for it to hang so the photo I have enclosed only shows it in its new frame which is ventilated to avoid moisture. This print of Yokozuna Hitachiyama Taniemon is one of my top favorite Japanese woodblock prints. The condition of the print is superb with vivid colors and graphics. It has been framed using museum quality materials for long-term preservation. I am grateful to Nihonkosho and in particular Yoshiaki-san for taking such excellent care of these valuable works of art and offering them to collectors.
