I LOVE having my baking steel in the oven! I really never take it out. I've made Cornish pasties, sourdough, challah bread, and pumpkin spice sourdough . I washed it once and seasoned it, and it's good to go! When I want it clean, I just use a damp rag to wipe off the crumbs and put a little more oil on it. Super super happy!

The steel arrived on time and was well-packaged. It’s on the heavy side, of course. I’ve baked baguettes and ciabattas with the steel (changed from a pizza stone) and have been impressed with the oven spring the steel contributes to the breads.

It is fabulous, I just need to get my dough right 👍🏻 I think if you used it on your gas grill you would use up all your gas getting it heated, it takes an hour.

Been making pizza for several years and have had great results on cast iron and on stone. I had been on the fence about getting this but saw that it was recommended by Kenji and gave it a shot as it was less than 50/50 I'd get a solid base of the pizza where the slices wouldn't droop under pressure. First attempt with this steel and pizza was solid. Not my best, but the dough was a few days old and I was lacking ingredients..but this still came out really nice. Bottom was crisp. I preheated...

Totally pleased with the pizza steel. Arrived as described in a very timely manner. I have baked pizza twice since receiving the steel. Both times the pizzas came out perfectly and as good as pizza baked in my outdoor wood fired pizza oven. Highly recommend!

First pizza using the Baking Steel: Caramelized onions, prosciutto, fontana, and cherry tomatoes with fresh basil. Turned out professional. Yum!! I followed oven instructions precisely using the final broiler blast and the Puffy Pizza crust was perfect. I think I can finally cross "making a perfect pizza" off my bucket list. After multiple difficult nights with a pizza stone, I ran across a reference to a pizza steel in a pizza book I was reading. On my first night out, my first attempt on the baking steel was beautiful (at least to me). It cant fix my mistakes, but it sure is far more forgiving when I have to go back in to fix a problem.

Was very curious when I heard about the baking steel so I purchased the 20x15x1/4 original baking steel. It’s comes seasoned as stated and placed mine on bottom rack as I do my seasoned stones being a propane gas stove and find the the heat greater lower . I look forward to using it on my gas grill as well and will continue to try various methods to cook up pizzas with 👨‍🍳🍕

I’ve been using a baking stone for years but once I heard about the baking steel I was sold. Great job on this product. I used your 72 hour dough for this pie along with the baking steel. Love, love, love The Baking Steel! My only regret is not having bought it sooner. I plan on using it at LEAST once a week during the cooler months (fall/winter/spring) as it gets HOT AND warms up the house. For the hot months (summer), I’ll be using my Uuni 3 outside. Buy it and you won’t regret it.

The pan was a great price, and arrived really fast. It was a snap to season and my first use was on seared scallops, where it did great, really held the heat and no sticking. Started making pizza on my very nice thick pizza stone during the pandemic. First used frozen dough, then decided to try making my own. Found your website and tried the 72 hour dough. It was really good, but....at that point I knew I needed to try a steel. Best pizza yet! The steel rocks! Bakes the pizza quicker and more evenly. No more soggy crusts. Love it.

I was treated with excellent customer service! I was hoping to receive my baking steel by Thanksgiving and they had sent one already but to make sure I received it , they sent another with two day shipping . I did receive it by Thanksgiving and sent one back. And I have used it several times now baking bread and I love it.

Love it! I bought it with the companion Dry Kit which was enough yeast, salt and organic flour measured out to created 4 12" pizzas. I LOVE that it's wide and flat, so it's easier to portion out with a bench scraper directly from the container. I was also impressed with the Dry Kit, delicious dough with great spring! Used half for pizzas and the other for a calzone!

The reason I purchased the original steel is because it is made in the USA. There are cheaper steels but my experience with lower quality offshore products made me to stay home for my purchase.
