It keeps my hair in place like a hair spray and does smell pretty good. I try to look for texture as I have straight hair that always gets flat after a wash, so this helps a bit.

I can’t give half stars but I’d give this a 4.5/5. I really like this product. Very light coconut type of scent, barely noticeable. Very very easy scoop, breakdown, and application. The hold is definitely very firm and it endures very well throughout the day. This is one of those clays where it looks natural but feels pretty stiff when you run your hands through your hair. Smells great. Super easy to scoop out, breakdown, and apply. Very pliable but not a natural type of pliable. It definitely feels like you have product in your hair when you run your fingers through, but not necessarily in a bad way. The only thing I don’t like is that the finish is too matte for my dry hair. But if you don’t have dry hair or struggle with flyaways too much then it won’t be an issue at all. However, I think Clutch XL is better in every way except for the scent.

The Crafted Matte Paste works really well. High hold and lasting performance/longevity through the day. You have to work it into your hair and style quickly because it gets pretty sticky once it starts to dry. Also, the cologne scent smells nice, but is very strong and lingers all day. Update from original formulation to the new. Straight to the point this is an improvement to the original as far as nourishment, shine, and helps support your style even better. Another thing about the reformulation is the scent is offers. It has I think a more masculine smell that stays present for around and hour. People close to you can smell it. This is a perfect product to quick add volume to a very thin hair. Kind of surprise how weights nothing, I've asked myself if there was a product in the bottle at all. I would not recommend for a thick hair, it's become a little helmet-ish.

Smells great. Easy to apply. I'd recommend dry hair vs wet. When wet it applies more like gel. Dry hair is nice and smooth. A little goes a long way. If I had to compare it to a product ID say Paul Mitchell Shaping Cream, but this one has a much higher hold. I'd recommend it and buy again.

This is the new edition, unlike old pre gane it doesn’t shift throughout the day. However this works for me pretty good. Solid firm/strong hold, good volume on my asian thick coarse hair. It will literally control any length,it has right amount of grip and tackiness. I think this is most suitable for thick/normal hair. Gives Nice matte finish and decent texture,doesn’t give too waxy texture like other waxes. Last but not least the scent was pretty wonderful also.

I have this a second try. Naturally I have thick, wavy hair so volume isn’t what I was looking for in this product. I got it mainly for summer look. However if you looking for VOLUME, this is the product! I found that it works best for me on the third and fourth day of not using shampoo because then my hair is more weigh down with the oils in my hair. Works great on spiky hair. I use it on 2nd day hair to reactivate my style normally. Only drawback is I wish the bottle was a little larger. A little goes a long way so make sure to use sparingly or it's gone before you know it!

Has strong hold for spiky hair. I wouldn't say extreme, but it does take hold immediately when putting it in damp hair. My only big drawback to this is it needs to come in a tub rather than a bottle. Very difficult to get it out of the bottle.
