It is very beautiful up close in person. The glass is so clear, tree is so white and pretty, and the wood looks and feels perfect. It is cool too since it has a different shape then most snow globes with a long dome look. I actually decided to get this gift for my best friend for Christmas. I had participated in a Secret Santa activity with my friends and it just so happened that I got my best friend! Anyways yes, I definitely recommend this globe.
